HWA hosted BCA’s UD Explorers on Wheels Academy roving exhibition on 29 Mar (Wed), for our Grade 4-8 students. UD Explorers on Wheels Academy is an experiential exhibition that aims to educate, as well as enhance the awareness towards the importance and application of UD in the build environment.
Our Scouts CCA kicked-off our first Annual Job Week last Wednesday where Scouts and Cubs went around the neighbourhood to perform household tasks in exchange for a donation.

We are having the two-week art exhibition - Metamorphosis - by 5 of our graduating Grade 12 visual arts students. The exhibition is part of their IB Diploma Programme requirements, More importantly, the exhibition provides them an opportunity to show you and the others what they have learnt and how far they have come in their learning journey at HWA.

The Science and Math Week activities for the academic year 2016-17 went remarkably well from 28th February to 2nd March 2017, encouraging students to inquire, investigate and reflect on the changes happening around us; from seasons and climate, to materials and energy.
Last Wednesday, 22nd February, HWA Scouts went hiking at Coney Island, Punggol. Our hike day coincided with World Scouts Day (also known as Founders Day), which is a day worldwide where all Scout associations celebrate the birthday of Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting.
Our HWA students were invited to perform at the Serangoon Community Club Lunar New Year Celebration on 19 Feb 2017. Our talented students brought happiness and laughters to the audience through their brilliant performances of dance, crosstalk (xiangsheng) and “Chinese rap” (kuaiban).
On 8th Feb, HWA Green Club members went to the Jurong Bird Park. The trips coincided with the celebration of the Year of the Rooster and our focus on birds of Singapore and Asia. During the trip, students participated in the Zoo-Diac Trail, which included stops at Birds of Prey, the Lory Loft, Jungle Jewels, Wings of Asia and the World of Darkness.
