The Science Diploma students took part in the SingYouth Heart Challenge organised by the National Heart Centre of Singapore this week, where they also attended a series of lectures conducted by NHC cardiologists. To participate in the challenge, students researched cardiovascular health and produced abstracts and posters on their findings. The posters were displayed in a mini-exhibition at the NHC atrium and on the official NHC SingYouth Heart Challenge Facebook page. By taking part in the competition, the students fulfilled the IBDP Group 4 Project requirements and worked on valuable Approaches to Learning skills like collaboration, research and time-management. They also exhibited the IB Learner Profile attributes (risk-takers, caring & inquirers). Well done to the Biology students of HWA!
