HWA needs your help!

HWA Mascot Design Contest

We’re in search of a mascot to represent HWA! 

To find our mascot, we will be holding a design contest where you can enter your own art and name of a new unique character that will be the face of Hillside World Academy.


Entries received until March 16th, 2018


Entry Qualifications

  1. The competition is open to all HWA students
  2. Entry may be made as individual or group up to 3 people.
  3. Entries are limited to one per student. If a submission entry is made as an individual and as part of a group both parties will be void & the authors forfeit their right to take part in the contest and will be disqualified from the competition. 
  4. Applicants can submit up to three (3) original creations but are requested to ensure their designs are submitted on a sheet of A4 size 
  5. A brief rationale explaining the components and creative process of the Mascot should be included in the entry. It should be encoded on a separate A4 size paper.
  6. The mascot must have a name that represents the values of our school.


Submission Method

  1. All entries must be submitted in a sealed envelope from:
  2. February 28th to March 16th, 2018 to Mr. Campos in the Teacher’s room.
  3. All entries must be complete.


Mascot Guidelines


  1. Must represent the values of HWA.
  2. All submitted mascots should be original creations with no close reference to known or popular culture existing cartoons or mascots.


General Guidelines

  1. During the selection process or after the designs have been selected as the winning entry, If it is discovered that the designs closely resemble an existing design winner will void their award. You are therefore kindly requested to ensure you keep all sketches, designs, etc. used during the design production process.
  2. The judges will have the final word over the selected character.
  3. The winning design might adjustments for production purposes.
  4. Colored or line drawing submissions are accepted but coloured preferred
