HWA’s Cross-Campus Celebration of Children’s and Teacher’s Day

Today, HWA International School’s One North and MSQ campuses connected via video to jointly celebrate International Children’s and Teacher’s Day. Despite the physical distance, students and teachers came together to share in the joy of the occasion, fostering a sense of unity and community that embodies HWA’s unique family-like atmosphere.

Students from both campuses prepared a range of musical performances, including singing as well as xylophone and piano recitals. These performances not only highlighted the students’ talents but also reflected the holistic approach of HWA’s IB education, which nurtures creativity and self-expression.

To celebrate the spirit of childhood, each HWA campus hosted its own set of fun activities. At One North, students enjoyed games like “Guess the Teacher’s Childhood Photo,” a “Draw and Guess” idiom game, cup-stacking, and racing, which filled the day with laughter. Over at MSQ, Grade 1 students and teachers took part in riddle guessing, “Guess the Childhood Photo” for classmates, and a telephone game, sparking joy and creating shared memories. Many students also brought thoughtful gifts for their teachers, showing appreciation in heartfelt ways.

HWA’s commitment to small class sizes ensures that each student receives individual attention, creating a supportive environment where they feel valued and connected. This student-centered approach, combined with the principles of the IB curriculum, fosters a global perspective and deepens the bond within the school community. Today’s celebration was a reminder of the strong connections and family-like spirit that make HWA International School a unique place for both students and teachers.
