On June 16, 2023, HWA held a solemn and grand graduation ceremony at NTU@One-north, to celebrate the successful graduation of students from the PYP Grade6, MYP Grade10, and DP Grade12 of our IB program. It was a memorable moment, marking the culmination of the students’ hard work and the beginning of a new journey.
The ceremony commenced in a solemn atmosphere. First, Principal Shi Mingpei delivered an enthusiastic speech, expressing his sincere admiration and congratulations to the graduates and encouraging them to forge ahead on their future paths.
Next, our teacher representative, Ms. Huang Xiaoxia, took the stage to deliver a speech. She shared wonderful moments with the students and expressed her pride in their growth and development. She said confidence in the graduates’ future and extended warm wishes to them.
Then came the most important moment when the graduating students took turns to receive their graduation certificates on stage. With dreams and hopes in their hearts, they accepted this hard-earned honour with smiles, experiencing joy and a sense of achievement. The ceremony also featured a special segment with congratulatory videos from alumni who have previously graduated from our school, adding more warmth to the graduation ceremony. Familiar faces of former students appeared on the big screens, offering congratulations and encouragement to the graduating students of the IB programme.
Subsequently, Mr. Gerari, as the parent representative, also took the stage to deliver a speech. He fondly recalled the growth of the children, expressing encouragement and blessings. He expressed gratitude to the school and encouraged the graduates to maintain strong beliefs and the courage to face future challenges.
The splendid performance segment added a unique artistic atmosphere to the graduation ceremony. The students’ meticulously prepared piano recitals, vocal performances, and poetry recitations took the atmosphere to its climax, garnering applause, and cheers from the audience for their talent and efforts. Particularly memorable was the awe-inspiring performance by an inspiring blind singer, who delivered a heart-rending rendition that conveyed boundless courage and hoped through music and passion.
After the ceremony, the students and parents explored the CCA (Co-curricular activity) booths showcasing various interest courses. It provided them an excellent opportunity to gain early insights into the school’s CCA courses in the upcoming semester. Students closely examined the display boards, eagerly anticipating the courses that piqued their interests.
Finally, let us join together in wishing all the graduates’ success on their future paths, where they will continue to ignite their passions, pursue excellence, and realize their dreams. We thank all the teachers, parents, and students for their dedicated efforts, making this graduation ceremony an unforgettable experience!
