In the curriculum of HWA International School, we focus on nurturing students to acquire solid critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. These skills are crucial for students to achieve good grades and remain academically competitive. In mathematics, we encourage students to participate in international math competitions. By engaging in such competitions and challenging themselves, students gain confidence and achieve excellent results through their efforts and the guidance of their teachers.
The Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) is organized by the Singapore International Mathematical Competition Centre (SIMCC). It is one of the most reputable and largest mathematics competitions in Asia. Each year, over 30,000 students from around the world participate.
The most recent Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO), 3 students from HWA received awards for SASMO for their outstanding performance in mathematics including 1 Sliver Award, 1 Bronze Awards and 1 Honourable Mentions. Moreover, we are delighted to share that our students have recorded videos expressing their gratitude and excitement after receiving their awards.
Congratulations once again to all the award-winning students. The school is proud of your achievements and looks forward to seeing even more success from you.
