Last week, our PYP students embarked on an exciting and educational field trip to Ghim Moh Market and Food Centre as part of their Unit 3, ‘How we organise ourselves’. This field trip aimed to provide them with practical experiences related to their learning about goods and services, markets, as well as government services and urban planning.
During the field trip, our students had the incredible opportunity to explore the bustling marketplace and interact with localvendors. They got a first-hand look at the diverse array of goods and services available, and even learned about the challenges faced by these vendors in their daily operations.
Additionally, the field trip opened our students’ eyes to government services and urban planning. They visited nearby government offices and agencies, where they learned about the important role they play in maintaining public well-being and creating sustainable communities. Our students left with a greater appreciation for the intricate planning that goes into infrastructure development.
Overall, the PYP field trip to Ghim Moh Market and Food Centre was a smashing success. Our students had a blast exploring the vibrant marketplace and engaging with local vendors. They gained hands-on experience in understanding goods and services, markets, as well as government services and urban planning. This field trip served as a valuable extension of their classroom learning. Well done, PYP students!
