On the 5th and 6th of June 2023, HWA International School welcomed and hosted guests from Luoyang No.2 Foreign Language School. At HWA as we believe in the power of integrated learning, the event focused on providing exchange students with the experience of “Unit of Inquiry” (UOI), a form of learning unique to the IB system. This enabled them to put their knowledge from different subjects into practical use.
For math, students from grades 3 to 6, through designing their own kite, learned about the relationship between forces, shapes, and polygons.
On the topic of “Sharing the Planet,” students were introduced to the concept of conservation and environment sustainability through interactive videos, puzzle games, and hands-on modelling while involving subjects such as Language, Mathematics, and Arts.
The event concluded smoothly, with students displaying their creativity while gaining new experiences from different cultures and perspectives.
