HWA International School held STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Discovery Week on Monday 6th December to Thursday 9th December. The goal is to provide students with real-world problem solving opportunities. STEM allows students to think outside the box with project based learning. This year, the Grade 11 students focused on their IBDP Group 4 Science project, while all PYP and MYP students got involved in a week of STEM hands-on and engaging STEM projects.
STEM Discovering Week began with research, building and creating time on Monday, followed by a movie on STEM on Tuesday and more building and creating time on Wednesday. The week ends with a challenge and a showcase of each class’ creations on Thursday.
In order to keep everyone safe during this pandemic, HWA adopted safe distancing measures during STEM Discovery Week. Based on a rotating schedule and observing safe management measures, students had the opportunity to show their projects and learn about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

活动过程中，学生们针对相关课题进行了线上研究，合作构建，电影观赏，团队挑战和作品展示几项实践活动。
为了在新冠疫情期间确保每个人的安全，HWA在STEM探究活动周期间采取了安全距离措施。师生们严格遵守活动时间表和安全措施，有秩序地参与了活动。
