1. Aim of Study
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) form the backbone of Singapore’s economy and SMEs’ competitiveness, particularly in the data-driven Digital Economy, is of great concern to all stakeholders including SMEs themselves.
Data is perceived as the ‘new oil’ in the Digital Economy. Effective analyses and applications of these data have been shown to boost firms’ performances, enhance their competitive advantages, as well as lead to the creation of innovative digital products and services.
Big Data refers to "extremely large data sets that may be analysed computationally to reveal patterns, trends, and associations, especially relating to human behaviour and interactions." (Oxford Languages, Google)
